The Weekly Poem #11

Mick Yates
moor

there are no trees here

the winds do not permit
such frivolity

life is in miniature

only dwarves and freaks
roam the landscape

it is a short stump of life
that survives up here
alone in its misery

a dark sun shines sometimes

but leaves no shadow
