Heather Parker won the Benjamin Franklin House Literary Prize, in association with The Daily Telegraph.

There will be a prize giving reception in January and the story will appear on the Benjamin Franklin House website and also on The Daily Telegraph Online website.

She had to interpret the quote:
“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety”.
